Cultism Spreads rounded state primary and secondary school

The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Chris Ezike, has raised the alarm over the high rate of cultism in primary and secondary schools in the state.
Ezike disclosed this yesterday during the disbursement of scholarship to six pupils of the Police Children’s School I and II, Benin.
Ezike noted that cultism had gone beyond tertiary institutions, where it was known to be prevalent, and had penetrated the wall of institutions of lower education.
He urged parents and guardians to pay adequate attention on the actions of their children and wards, especially as it affect the companies they keep.

He urged parents not to be too busy to look after their children.
He also appealed to the teachers not to relent in their effort at impacting positive ideals on the children.
He said, “Having said that, I want to ask all DPOs, whose jurisdiction cover our police primary and secondary schools or police institutions, to do their utmost best to offer the necessary security and safety that the children need.
“If you have problems doing, get back to the DC, Ops, who will reinforce you to ensure their safety and security are not compromised.”
